The “GF” designation represents CAME’s specialized high-speed gear engineering. While a standard 1000kg motor crawls along at roughly 10 to 12 meters per minute, the BXV Rapid practically doubles that pace, moving massive leaves at a blistering 20 meters per minute. This makes it the go-to choice for apartment blocks, corporate car parks, and high-security residential estates where clearing vehicle queues rapidly and preventing “tailgating” is essential.

Core Engineering & Mechanical Design

• Rapid-Drive High-Speed Gearbox: To achieve 20 m/min travel velocities while safely managing a 1-tonne deadweight, the motor uses a specially calculated physical gear-ratio profile. It relies on a heavy-duty Module 4 pinion paired with active encoder acceleration and deceleration curves to ensure the gate starts and stops smoothly, protecting the structural racking from high-inertia shock loads.

• The Tall “Large Housing” Casing: The motor chassis (finished in modern RAL 7024 charcoal grey) features a distinctly elevated top cover. This taller footprint is custom-engineered to house internal auxiliary hardware. It can directly accommodate 2 x 12V 5.0Ah emergency backup batteries, providing up to 55 full continuous operational cycles during a total mains blackout.

• Encoder-Monitored Safety & Force Control: Operating a 1000kg gate at high speeds requires serious safety management. The internal optical encoder tracks the gate’s exact physical positioning down to the millimetre. If it encounters a minor spike in resistance (from a trailing car, pedestrian, or wind drag), it triggers a near-instant electronic cut-off and reverses travel.

• CAME RIO Wireless Safety Hub Ready: The onboard control board supports direct plug-and-play integration for the RIO Total Wireless Safety series. This allows installers to deploy wireless safety photocells, edges, and clickers without sawing or digging trenches across a finished driveway.
